Disastrous Hit-and-Run Crash in South Laredo Led to Fatality [Laredo, TX]

Laredo, TX (January 12, 2024) On Wednesday evening, a hit-and-run crash in South Laredo killed a person and sent 2 people to the hospital.

According to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, the solo-vehicle crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. near Cuatro Vientos and Cielito Lindo.

Reports say that deputies attempted a traffic stop a car that allegedly carrying illegal drugs, the driver instead sped away and drove off the highway, where it rolled over into the brush.

Officials say that the driver fled on foot, and left 3 men inside the wrecked vehicle.
