Authorities say that the hit-and-run crash happened on southbound Highway 101 near the Astoria-Megler Bridge, around 1 p.m.

Reports say that the man from Ilwaco, was driving a southbound black Ram truck that struck a southbound cyclist, then fled the scene and was later arrested in Oregon.

Medics rushed the 58-year-old biker to Columbia Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the hit-and-run crash.
