Driver Hospitalized in Crash near 200th Street Southwest

Lynnwood, WA (April 14, 2022) – On Wednesday, injuries were reported in a Highway 99 DUI crash near 200th Street Southwest.

Apparently, officers were searching for a black Econoline van driver who was driving erratically when they received the report of a DUI crash on Highway 99.

When they arrived at the scene, they discovered that the Econoline van they were looking for was the same vehicle that rear-ended a pickup truck at a fast speed.

Right away, the South County firefighters freed the driver from his van. Then, they rushed him to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries.

On the other hand, the pickup truck driver did not sustain serious injuries in the accident.

Investigators say they suspect the van driver was impaired during the collision.
