The California Highway Patrol says that a big rig struck the back of a 26,000-pound box truck north of Carpenter Road.

Reports say that the impact caused the box truck to roll over. The box truck blocked multiple lanes of the Highway. Afterward, a Buick collided with the box truck.

Paramedics transported 5 people to the hospital. Officials say that 3 people suffered major injuries, while 2 sustained minor injuries.
