Serious Crash on Highways 97 and 970 Leads to Road Closure

 
Blewett Pass, WA (February 26, 2021) – A serious multiple-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 97 and Highway 970 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The incident took place on February 24 on Highway 97 and Highway 970 near the summit. According to a report, the collision involved multiple vehicles however, the exact number of the vehicles involved has not been identified.
 
The Washington State Department of Transportation responded to the scene. They reported that the impact of the incident prompted the closure of the pass. The pass is closed from Highway 97 junction with Highway 970 to milepost 178.
 
Furthermore, WSDOT described the collision as serious but as of now, the events leading up to the collision are still unknown.
