62-Year-Old Driver Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near the Toro Place Cafe
Monterey County, CA (December 24, 2022) – On Friday morning, a 62-year-old Oakland man sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 68 accident.
The man pulled over to the side of the road and wandered onto the highway near the Toro Place Cafe.
Unfortunately, a passing motorist struck the man.
CHP said the driver involved in the accident cooperated with their investigation.
In the meantime, officers withheld the deceased’s name until they notify the victim’s family members of his death.
The authorities do not consider drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash near the Toro Place Cafe. The CHP is trying to determine the mental state of the man who ended up on the road.
