Highway 65 2-Vehicle Collision Results in Injuries [Porterville, CA]

Porterville, CA (December 9, 2022) On Wednesday afternoon, a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 65 injured several people.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the 2-car crash happened at about 1:22 p.m. at the intersection with Avenue 56.

Reports say that a southbound 2011 Dodge Nitrodid not stop at a red light and collided with an eastbound 2018 Toyota Camry.

The collision seriously injured the 39-year-old Toyota driver from Earlimart and a passenger on the Toyota suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics airlifted the driver to the Kern Medical Center, while medics transported the passenger to Sierra View Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the 46-year-old Dodge driver from Porterville and one of the 3 minors on the Dodge suffered injuries as well. Officials say that the Dodge passenger sustained major injuries and medics rushed them to Sierra View Medical Center.

CHP is investigating the 2-car crash and have not released further details on the incident.
