CHP Investigates Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 4

Farmington, CA (February 28, 2023) – On Monday morning, a Highway 4 deadly head-on collision claimed the lives of two drivers.

CHP says that the fatal 2-vehicle crash happened around 6:30 a.m. west of Dunton Road. Officials say that the collision claimed the life of a  21-year-old Stockton woman, and a 51-year-old Copperopolis man.

Reports say that the vehicle of the Stockton woman crossed the double-yellow line and drove the wrong way. Consequently, the woman’s vehicle collided head-on with a pickup Copperopolis man driving.

Officials say that both drivers attempted to dodge the other vehicle, but the crash still happened.

Authorities pronounced both drivers dead at the scene. CHP is investigating the fatal 2-vehicle crash and has not released further details at this time.
