When driving, better to scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
There are plenty of ways to practice safe and defensive driving. This way, you can ensure your safety and the other motorists and pedestrians on the road.
Injuries in While Traveling
California’s road accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are a major public health threat. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the NHTSA, two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life.
That is why it is important to know what to do if you incur a motor vehicle accident.
