(August 31, 2022) On Tuesday morning, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on eastbound Highway 18.
Authorities say that the fatal pedestrian collision happened west of Stoddard Wells Road.
Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck a Hispanic woman crossing the roadway.
The SBCS-Coroner’s Division has not revealed the woman’s name, they are waiting for the family to be notified first.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.
Officials are investigating the incident and have not released further information regarding the crash.
