Injuries Reported in Delivery Truck Collision on Dutton Avenue
(August 11, 2022) On Wednesday morning, a delivery truck caused a multi-vehicle crash on state Highway 12 that killed a female Honda driver.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at around 8 a.m. on eastbound Highway 12 near Dutton Avenue.
Reports say that a delivery truck rear-ended a Nissan Versa and then struck four other vehicles.
Officials say that the truck driver did not notice traffic slowing in front. The driver noticed too late, and attempted to avoid the Nissan but eventually struck the back of the vehicle.
Paramedics transported the female driver to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the truck collided with other vehicles and ended up on its side. the truck driver and other drivers suffered minor injuries due to the collision.
Authorities have not released the Nissan driver’s name at the moment. Officials are investigating the incident.
