Driver Killed Another Hurt in SR-12 2-Vehicle Crash
Santa Rosa, CA (September 6, 2022) On Monday afternoon, a driver died and another suffered major injuries after a head-on collision on Highway 12.
Police say that the fatal 2-vehicle crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. on State Route 12.
Reports say that the 66-year-old driver on an eastbound Mercedes drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Subaru. The impact of the collision caused the Subaru to overturn.
Officers say that the Subaru driver died at the scene. Meanwhile, the Mercedes driver suffered major, but not life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported the injured driver to a hospital.
The Santa Rosa CHP closed down SR-12 between Arnold Drive and Dunbar Road as they investigate the incident. At the moment, no further information is available.
