Highway 101 Car-Pedestrian Crash Results in Fatality [Santa Barbara, CA]

Male Pedestrian Dies in Traffic Collision near Patterson Avenue

Santa Barbara, CA (November 11, 2022) Early Friday morning, a car-pedestrian crash on Highway 101 claimed the life of a male pedestrian.

CHP says that a car fatally struck the man at about 1:50 a.m. between the Patterson and Fairview Avenue entrances.

Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Consequently, Santa Barbara County FD closed the area for 2 hours.

The CHP is investigating the fatal traffic collision and have not released further details at this time.
