Highway 1 Truck-Bicycle Collision Leaves Harald Herrmann Dead [Moss Beach, CA]

Moss Beach, CA (September 29, 2022) On Wednesday morning, a box truck-bicycle collision on Highway 1 killed a cyclist, Harald Herrmann, 55, as he rode on the shoulder of the highway.

Reports say that the fatal traffic crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on Cypress Avenue in Moss Beach.

According to California Highway Patrol the southbound box truck drifted into the northbound lane. Consequently, the truck fatally struck the male cyclist.

Additionally, officials say that he man, believed to be in his 40s. Authorities pronounced the man, a resident of Moss Beach, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the truck driver suffered minor injuries, medics transported the truck driver to a hospital for treatment.
