55-Year-Old Hermilo Ocampo Hurt in Violent 2-Vehicle Crash Near Road D [Royal City, WA]

Royal City, WA (August 7, 2024) On Saturday evening, 55-year-old Hermilo Ocampo of Royal City was hurt after a 2-vehicle crash near Road D Southwest.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), the hit-and-run collision happened at about 11 p.m.

Reports say that 23-year-old Angel De La Rosa-Martinez crashed his vehicle into the vehicle Ocampo was driving.

The collision caused minor injuries to Ocampo, medics treated the injured driver at the scene.

Meanwhile, De La Rosa-Martinez fled the scene and was found hiding in a cornfield about 300 yards away, GCSO’s K-9 units helped in the search.

Authorities arrested De La Rosa-Martinez and booked him into Grant County Jail for suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run, resisting arrest, and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
