Heliodoro Perez ID’d in Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash in Ceres
CERES, CA (November 15, 2019) — A man died while two others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Ceres on Sunday morning.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection of Crows Landing Road and Hackett Road near El Rematito Flea Market at about 10:06 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said 62-year-old Heliodoro Perez was driving a tan 2003 Toyota Corolla westbound on the roadway. He collided with a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Jose Sanchez.
Perez died while receiving treatment at a local hospital due to major injuries. Meanwhile, Sanchez and his 39-year-old passenger, Roberto Sanchez, sustained injuries. Emergency personnel transported both to a local hospital for treatment.
An investigation of the incident is ongoing.
