Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 168 Injures Pickup Driver [Clovis, CA]

Clovis, CA (October 6, 2023) On Wednesday evening, a 32-year-old man from Prather died, while a 59-year-old man also from Prather, suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 168.

According to the CHP, the tragic 2-vehicle collision happened on eastbound Highway 168 just east of West Shepherd Avenue.

Reports say that an eastbound Tesla Y, driven by the 32-year-old man, lost control and crossed onto the opposite lane and collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet pickup, driven by the 59-year-old man.

Officials say that the Tesla burst into flames after the collision and was fully engulfed in flames as first responders arrived.

Authorities say that the Tesla driver died at the scene, while, the pickup driver suffer major injuries, medics transported him to the hospital.

Moreover, CHP is investigating the probable cause of the 2-vehicle collision.
