Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Left 2 People Hospitalized
Willits, CA (August 14, 2021) – A head-on crash on Highway 101 involving two vehicles left two people hospitalized on Thursday morning.
California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page reported that the crash occurred on August 12 on Highway 101 north of Willits. At about 6:47 a.m., officials arrived on the scene and found a silver sedan and a white sports utility vehicle.
The two vehicles reportedly collided head-on however, the cause of the collision is still unclear.
Responding officials requested a flatbed tow truck due to the rollover damages of the SUV.
The traffic scanner indicated that the incident left two drivers injured. One of them sustained minor injuries while the other one, as authorities described, was “walking wounded”. Medics transported both of them to Howard Memorial Hospital however, there have been no updates regarding their current conditions.

Furthermore, the impact of the collision blocked the number 2 lane for traffic. At about 7:39 a.m., updates from the incident said it has since been reopened.
