Murrieta Vehicle Crash Kills 93-Year-Old Hazel Hogan
Murrieta, CA (August 20, 2021) – On Monday, Hazel Hogan, a 93-year-old Wildomar resident, died in a vehicle crash on Jefferson Avenue.
It was about 1:40 p.m. at the intersection with Lily Avenue.
Officers said Hogan was the front passenger of a northbound Nissan Versa on Jefferson Avenue. At the same time, a BMW 550i sedan initiated a turn from westbound Lily Avenue.
As a result, the BMW crashed with the Nissan. However, the authorities did not specify which party was at fault in the accident.
The BMW driver and both occupants of the Nissan, were all injured in the accident.
Right away, Murrieta Fire & Rescue personnel freed Hogan from the Nissan and rushed her to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
Hogan underwent surgery but succumbed to her injuries at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Moreover, the unidentified BMW and Nissan drivers were treated for moderate injuries. Officers said they expect them to fully recover.
