2 Dead in Port Isabel Solo-Vehicle Crash
Port Isabel, TX (November 14, 2024) – 19-year-old Hazel Castaneda and 20-year-old Fernando Garcia, both of Weslaco, were killed in a collision on Highway 100 a little past Saturday midnight.
Investigators said a Dodge Charger was speeding east on the highway when it veered off the road and smashed into a transformer.
The car occupants, Garcia and Castaneda, were killed at the crash scene.
The authorities are investigating this fatal collision.
