Haven Gabriel Finkie Dead in Tragic Two-Vehicle Crash on US 175 and CR 4511 [Henderson County, TX]

1 Person Hospitalized in Henderson County Auto Accident on US 175 and CR 4511

HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (August 24, 2023) – On Monday, Haven Gabriel Finkie died in a tragic 2-vehicle crash on US 175 and CR 4511.

The incident happened on US 175 and CR 4511.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Honda Civic attempted to turn onto CR 4511 and failed to yield the right of way to a Ford F150. Then, the Honda Civic collided with the Ford F150 that was traveling northwest.

Moreover, responders rushed the Civic driver, 22-year-old Finkie, to UT Health in Tyler where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the Ford driver, 30-year-old Joseph Charles Simmons to UT Health in Athens with non-incapacitating injuries.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
