RIVERSIDE, CA (November 7, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, Hassan Qureshi died in a tragic pedestrian crash on University Avenue and Main Street.

The incident happened at around 4:08 p.m. at University Avenue and Main Street.

According to Riverside Sgt. James Elliott, an eastbound silver Honda Civic struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim, Qureshi, to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect, Jesus Rodriguez, on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony hit-and-run.
