Two Men Taken to the Hospital Following Crash near Hermosa Meadows Road
DURANGO, CO (March 8, 2018) – Two people were reported injured in a two-car collision near Hermosa Meadows Road approaching Animas Valley Elementary School, Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 7:50 AM, when a 2014 blue Subaru Forester was about to turn left from Hermosa Meadows Rd to Highway 550. The driver didn’t see the oncoming 2005 silver Chevrolet Malibu, resulting in a T-bone collision.
The Subaru driver was identified as 34-year-old Emily Miller of Durango. She did not receive any serious injuries from the crash.
Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the Chevy sustained injuries and were transported to the Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment. Harold Anderson was the driver of the vehicle and John Harvey was sitting in the passenger seat. The victims were reportedly released on the same day.
The police cited Miller with careless driving resulting in bodily injuries. Drugs or alcohol are not factors in this accident. No other information is available at the time.
