Harley-Davidson Rider Sustains Injuries in State Route 162 Collision [South Prairie, WA]

Driver Cited in Traffic Crash Near 256th Avenue East

South Prairie, WA (September 25, 2022) – On Saturday, a 63-year-old Roy man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle sustained injuries in a State Route 162 collision.

The traffic incident happened near the 256th Avenue East and Pioneer Way East intersection. 

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist was eastbound while a Chrysler Pacifica minivan driven by a 66-year-old South Prairie man was westbound on the freeway. 

The minivan took a left turn onto a private driveway and the motorcycle rider drove into the minivan’s passenger side. 

Right away, the paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to an area hospital. Reports say the rider is now in stable condition.

On the other hand, the minivan driver did not sustain injuries from the accident. Officers say the driver failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle rider.

Later on, the WSP cited the minivan driver for negligent driving in the second degree.
