Harley Davidson Rider Transported in N Midkiff Road Collision [Midland, TX]

Midland, TX (September 24, 2024) – A motorcycle rider sustained injuries following a North Midkiff Road collision late Saturday morning.

It was approximately 10:20 a.m. when the collision happened at the intersection with Midkiff Road.

Troopers said a 2005 Harley Davidson was northbound in the inside lane of the 100 block of North Midkiff Road. 

At the same time, a White 2019 Kia SUV was in the center turning lane of North Midkiff facing south.

Investigators determined the Kia failed to yield the right of way to the Harley Davidson. 

As a result, the Harley Davidson struck the Kia that also struck a vehicle at the stop sign facing west in the 3200 block of Thomas.

The Harley Davidson rider did not have a helmet when ejected from the vehicle. The rescuers rushed the rider to Midland Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

Meanwhile, MPD officers said the Kia driver and passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The authorities are still investigating the Midland traffic accident.
