37-Year-Old Harlan Slender Dead After Bicycle Crash on 75th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (February 28, 2024) – On Tuesday, 37-year-old Harlan Slender died in a bicycle crash on 75th Avenue and Hazelwood Street.

Reportedly, Phoenix police responded to a crash involving a bicyclist about an hour later in the area of 75th Avenue and Hazelwood Street, south of Camelback Road, where a man, since identified as 37-year-old Harlan Slender, had been hit by a truck. 

He died at the hospital. 

The driver remained on scene, and police say impairment is not believed to have been a factor.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
