Danya Pardo Arrested on Suspicion of DUI after Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 99 near Lynnwood
SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA (March 20, 2018) – On Tuesday morning just before 2:30 AM, three people were injured in a head-on collision on State Route 99, about one mile north of Lynnwood.
According to reports, 54-year-old David Black of Everett was driving southbound on Highway 99 in a black 2007 Hyundai Elantra, with 20-year-old Hannah Wood of Edmonds sitting passenger.
At the same time, a white 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by 45-year-old Danya Pardo of Auburn, was going the wrong-way on the same road near milepost 50. The two vehicles collided head-on in the southbound lanes of the freeway near State Route 525.
Occupants in the Elantra were injured in the collision Wood was taken to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, while Black was transported to the Providence Hospital in Everett. Pardo was also injured in the crash.
Both cars were totaled from the impact of the incident.
Authorities believe that drugs and/ or alcohol are contributing factors in this wrong-way collision. Pardo was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault. No other information has been provided at this time.
