Hannah Dunn Dies, Nelson Dunn Arrested in Newport Car Accident

 
NEWPORT, WA (June 17, 2019) – Monday afternoon, 23-year-old Hannah Dunn from Spokane was killed in a fatal car crash on Bead Lake Road.
 
Authorities reported the accident occurred just before 4:00 PM on Bead Lake Road near Mile Marker 8, just north of Newport. The driver was identified as 24-year-old Nelson Dunn. He was driving a Ford Expedition. His wife was the only passenger in the car.
 
Washington State Patrol stated that the Ford rolled down a steep embankment. As a result of the crash, Hannah Dunn the passenger succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
In addition, the driver Nelson Dunn sustained minor injuries. Officials reported the couple was returning from a camping trip at Cooks Lake.
 
Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident. As a result, Nelson was arrested for vehicular manslaughter.
 
Police did not include more details surrounding the accident to the pubic at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
