Hannah Byers of Lee’s Summit Injured in ATV Accident on SW 700 Road [Johnson County, MO]

Johnson County, MO (October 22, 2024) – Hannah Byers, 34, of Lee’s Summit, and Veronica Waller, 37, of Holden, were both injured following an ATV accident on SW 700 Road late Saturday afternoon.

It was around 5:53 p.m. when the ATV collision happened in Rose Hill Township.

Troopers said Benjamin Holcomb, 36, of Lee’s Summit, was driving a 2023 Polaris RZR 1000 when he struck a bump in a field. He lost control of the vehicle and overturned. 

Both Byers and Waller sustained minor injuries. They were treated at the scene and were later released

Holcomb was airlifted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with serious injuries. The accident report stated he was not wearing a seat belt.
