Head-On Crash on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley Kills One

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (January 12, 2020) – A woman was killed following a head-on crash Sunday evening in Apple Valley.
 
The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Bear Valley Road west of Joshua Road.
 
According to the CHP, a silver Honda Accord was traveling east on Bear Valley Road when it lost control. It then veered to the left directly into the path of a red Dodge Ram pulling a flatbed trailer. The two vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, the female driver of the Honda suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Officials later identified her as Hailey Kelly, 21, of Apple Valley.
 
Paramedics transported the driver of the Dodge, a 44-year-old San Bernardino man, to Loma Linda University Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
Deputies and firefighters searched the desert area for a possible baby after discovering a car seat inside of the mangled vehicle.
 
However, deputies were not immediately able to confirm if there were any other victims.
