3 Killed and Injuries Reported in Orange Auto Accident on Glassell Street and Taft Avenue
ORANGE, CA (July 10, 2022) – Saturday morning, Gustavo Castro and two others died in a solo crash on Glassell Street.
According to Orange police Sgt. Phil McMullin, the incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Glassell Street and Taft Avenue.
Reports revealed that officers chased a southbound 2005 Nissan Altima traveling at a high rate of speed. Then, the vehicle collided with a guardrail and a railroad crossing signal light. Eventually, it erupted into flames at Glassell Street and Taft Avenue.
Moreover, responders pronounced three people dead at the scene including a boy, a girl, and 26-year-old Gustavo Castro. Paramedics transported four people to a hospital, including the vehicle driver, 19-year-old Exeter resident Azarie Fuller, two children with critical injuries, and a boy with moderate injuries.
Furthermore, authorities believe that impairment and speed played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
