59-Year-Old San Diego Man Dies, Guillermo Roblero III Apprehended in Interstate 8 DUI Crash
Alpine, CA (April 11, 2021) – On Saturday, a 59-year-old San Diego man dies and police arrested 26-year-old Guillermo Roblero III in a DUI wrong-way crash on Interstate 8.
The fatal crash took place at around 2 a.m. on the westbound lanes, west of Dunbar Lane.
Apparently, the San Diego man was driving a blue Honda CR-V on Interstate 8. Suddenly, Roblero, driving a gray Toyota Scion TC the wrong-way, struck the Honda head-on.
Unfortunately, the victim died while Roblero incurred major injuries.
Right away, rescuers took Roblero to a local hospital.
officers arrested Roblero on DUI felony charges.
Meanwhile, officers closed westbound lanes between Dunbar Lane and Lake Jennings Park Road as they investigated the scene.
