1 Dead in Fresno Car Crash on Ashlan Avenue
FRESNO, CA (October 8, 2019) – The Fresno’s Sikh Institute vice president died in a single-vehicle crash on Ashlan Avenue on October 6.
“She was really a cultural ambassador. She was instrumental on making sure the new generation and first-born American generation, that we held on to our roots, that we never forgot our religion,” Shawn Kaleka said
70-year-old Guddi Sidhu was sole occupant of her vehicle at the time of the accident.
Police saying she drove southbound on Cornelia Avenue when for unknown reasons, she crossed over into oncoming traffic. After that, she struck the power pole and thrown 10 feet into the air.
Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene. Sidhu is survived by her husband and three children.
