Guadalupe Olarte Dies in Los Banos Accident, April Noriega Arrested
Los Banos, CA (September 29, 2020) – On September 26, a 66-year-old Guadalupe Olarte died in a suspected DUI crash on West I Street.
The fatal Los Banos accident took place at around 7:45 p.m. in the 1600 block area.
Police said Ms. Olarte was sitting in her car in front of her home. Just then, a black 2011 Acura TL driven by a 35-year-old woman traveling at a fast speed crashed into at least five vehicles.
Moreover, police said an off-duty Los Banos Firefighter performed CPR on the victim. However, Guadalupe Olarte succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the rescuers rushed the 35-year-old suspected DUI driver and her passenger to a Modesto area hospitals with injuries.
Later reports reveal that 35-year-old April Sadie Noriega drove the speeding 2011 Acura TL.
Police arrested her for drunk driving, as her her blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit.
She is being held over DUI charges among others with a $250,000.00 bail.
