Guadalupe Noriega, Salvador Lopez and Lashon Gardner Killed in Rialto Crash
Rialto, CA (June 30, 2021) – On Monday, 26-year-old Guadalupe Noriega, 20-year-old Salvador Lopez of Fontana and 33-year-old Lashon Gardner of Barstow, died in a South Riverside Avenue head-on crash.
The deadly Rialto accident happened at about 7:45 a.m. in the 2500 block area of South Riverside.
Officers found a 2020 Nissan Altima with a female in the driver’s seat and three passengers.
Unfortunately, the driver and two of her passengers all died at the scene.
On the other hand, the third passenger, an unidentified 21-year-old Fontana woman, was seriously injured. Rescuers took her to a hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the other vehicles involved in the crash were not injured.
Moreover, officer said witness’ statements indicate a Dodge Ram rode southbound on Riverside Avenue in the left lane. Just then, the Nissan Altima speeding behind it abruptly turned and clipped the rear end of the truck.
Afterwards, the Altima drifted left, then crossed into northbound Riverside Avenue traffic, colliding head-on into a box truck.
