Guadalupe Maldonado Injured, Jose Borba Arrested in Crash on Washington Road [Turlock, CA]

Teen Hospitalized after DUI Car Collision in Turlock

 
TURLOCK, CA (February 22, 2019) – Friday afternoon, 19-year-old Guadalupe Maldonado from Newman was injured in a two vehicle car crash.
 
California Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred before 4:00 PM at the intersection of South Washington Road and West Harding Road.
 
Maldonado was driving a 2012 Honda Civic traveling north on Washington Road. At the same time, 56-year-old Jose Borba from Delhi was driving west on Harding Road. As Maldonado approached the intersection at 58 mph, she was struck by Borba’s 2010 Toyota Tundra.
 
Officials stated that Maldonado had the right of way and was unable to avoid the collision.
 
Paramedics arrived and transported both occupants to Doctors Medical Center for further medical evaluation. Their current medical conditions have not been released.
 
According to officer Thomas Olsen, Borba was arrested on suspicion of felony for driving under the influence and driving without a license. There has been no further information released about the accident
