Police Looking for Suspect in Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Haskell Street
GRIDLEY, CA (April 1, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed on Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident on Magnolia Street and police are asking for support to locate the suspect.
Gridley-Biggs police were alerted about the crash at the intersection of Magnolia and Haskell Streets, just after 9:00 PM. Responding officers found the victim at the scene with major injuries.
The unidentified victim sustained major injuries and was rushed to the Orchard Hospital in Gridley. Later, she was taken to the Enloe Medical Center in Chico for further treatment, but succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead around 1:00 AM the next day, April 2nd.
Police found evidence at the scene that may help identify the suspect vehicle. They are also reviewing surveillance video from the area. There is currently no information on the suspect vehicle or driver.
