Gregory Verdugo Injured in Vancouver Motorcycle Accident
VANCOUVER, WA (July 11, 2019) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision on Thurston Way on July 7.
Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp revealed the rider the as 51-year-old Gregory Verdugo.
Verdugo from Vancouver rode south on Northeast Thurston Way at its intersection with Vancouver Plaza Drive. However, a Volvo in the opposite direction made a left turn into the path of his motorcycle.
Verdugo could not stop in time. As a result, he crashed into the passenger’s side of the car and the collision threw him off his bike.
Emergency crews arrived at 7:23 p.m. to 8320 N.E. Vancouver Plaza Drive. Medics transported Verdugo to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Vancouver Fire spokesman Joe Spatz revealed.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
