2 People Hospitalized in Montgomery County Auto Accident on Interstate 70 and Mile Marker 183

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MO (July 23, 2024) – Early Monday, Gregory Rasmussen sustained injuries in a crippling single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70.

The incident happened on Interstate 70 at mile marker 183.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Mack 600 veered off the left side of the eastbound lane, overturned, and crashed into a median cable.

Responding paramedics airlifted the driver of the vehicle, identified as 34-year-old Rasmussen, to Mercy Hospital in St Louis with serious injuries. Also, authorities confirmed that an 11-year-old male passenger of the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to University Hospital for treatment.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
