Gregory Leiva Killed, Car Falls off Interstate 205 Overpass in Tracy
Tracy, CA (October 7, 2020) – On Wednesday, Gregory Leiva, 32, lost his life in a crash falling over the overpass on Interstate 205.
The fatal crash took place before 6 AM.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle was trying to go into the right lanes when it accidentally clipped a big rig. As a result, the small vehicle was sent over the guardrail.
The car went down 30 feet. Finally, it landing at a scaffolding site on the northbound portion of Interstate 5.
Moreover, bystanders on the scene rushed and helped the car driver. However, the authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officials issued a SigAlert for the area as the incident blocked several lanes.
Traffic continued to flow as drivers were directed through the center median. All lanes were reopened around 10 AM.
