1 Person Dead in Red Wood City DUI Accident on Highway 92 near San Mateo Bridge
REDWOOD CITY, CA (December 13, 2022) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Gregory James Dooley following a fatal crash on Highway 92.
The incident happened at around 11:45 p.m. on Highway 92 near San Mateo Bridge.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Cadillac Escalade struck a male pedestrian who was out of his Infiniti G35 after being involved in an earlier incident with a Hyundai Elantra.
Moreover, responders pronounced the Infinity driver, dead at the scene. Then, authorities arrested the Cadillac Escalade driver, 45-year-old Gregory James Dooley on suspicion of DUI. Also, officials confirmed that Dooley and his female passenger were both taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Furthermore, the incident closed the eastbound lanes of the San Mateo Bridge on Highway 92 but has long since reopened.
