Gregory Dziak Killed in Head-On Crash on Fairview Road in Hollister

61-Year-Old Man Dies in Head-On Crash at Fairview Road and Rosa Morada Road

 
HOLLISTER, CA (May 12, 2019) – A man was killed following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon on Fairview Road in Hollister.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:18 p.m. just North or Rosa Morada Road.
 
CHP officials said a 2017 Hyundai Veloster had crossed double-yellow lines, and subsequently collided head-on with a 2000 Ford F-250.
 
First responders found the Hyundai driver trapped and responsive upon arrival. Despite life-saving efforts, the driver was pronounced dead on scene due to the impact of the collision. He was later identified as 61-year-old Gregory Dziak.
 
A 42-year-old, 14-year-old and 13-year-old from Hollister were in the Ford pickup truck. The adult and one of the juveniles sustained minor injuries, according to the CHP.
 
Dziak most recently lived at the Casa de Fruta RV Park, according to authorities. It is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. The investigation still remains ongoing.
