44-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Car near Huntington Beach Pier
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (May 5, 2018) – A man was struck and killed by a car at the intersection of Main Street and the Pacific Coast Highway, on Saturday night. The pedestrian was identified by the Orange County Coroner’s Office on Sunday as 44-year-old Gregory Cobb.
Around 7:12 PM, Cobb was entering the intersection near the Huntington Beach Pier, when struck by a black Nissan Altima that was traveling south on PCH. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to the Huntington Beach Police, the female driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials during their investigation. Her identity has not been released at this time.
