Accident Kills 93-Year-Old Pedestrian on Third Avenue and Anita Street
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 4, 2018) – An elderly man was struck and killed while walking across the street on Thursday around 7 PM.
According to the report, Gregorio Noriega-Huerta, was walking across the area of Third Avenue and Anita Street, when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle. Officials say that he lived nearby the scene of the accident, and was on a walk. The driver fled from the scene and did not offer any assistance to the 93-year-old victim.
Ambulances were called and the man was rushed to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) for medical attention. Noriega-Huerta was diagnosed with a femur fracture, but then became sick and unresponsive. After efforts of resuscitation, he was pronounced dead.
