Gregorio Arreaga of National City Killed in Sweetwater Road Accident [National City, CA]

National City, CA (September 21, 2023) – On Sunday, 49-year-old Gregorio Arreaga of National City was killed in a Sweetwater Road accident.

The fatal collision happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the 2300 block area.

Officers said Arreaga was standing in the bed of a parked pickup truck that was hit by another vehicle at the park-and-ride facility.

Arreaga was thrown out of the truck and rested underneath another parked vehicle. 

Immediately, paramedics rushed him to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego where he succumbed to his injuries at about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

In the meantime, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
