3 People Hospitalized After Crash on Telegraph and Olde Post Roads in St. Louis County

St. Louis County, MO (August 23, 2024) – A crash on Telegraph and Olde Post roads left an 8-year-old girl and her grandmother paralyzed, and her mother injured.

The St. Louis County Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 3 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the intersection of Telegraph and Olde Post roads.

Officers discovered 8-year-old Gracie Crawford, her mother Taryn Rose, and her grandmother Barb Fleming with injuries in one of the vehicles.

They transported all three to local hospitals for treatment.

According to a GoFundMe campaign for the family, Gracie sustained severe and life-long injuries, including a broken neck, and is paralyzed from her chin down.

She will need 24/7 care and a ventilator for the rest of her life. The campaign also stated that Barb is paralyzed from the chest down due to a spinal cord injury, has several fractures, and will require extensive rehabilitation.

Taryn, who had multiple injuries, has been released from the hospital and is now recovering.

St. Louis County police noted that the 16-year-old driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene.

Several businesses and community members are organizing fundraisers to support the family.

Trilogy Fance & Tumblinc Center, LLC in Pevely is holding a 50/50 raffle. Tickets will be sold Monday through Thursday 4:30-8:30 p.m. from Sept. 3-24. Click here for more information.
