Hit-And-Run Accident Kills 67-Year-Old on Ashford Street
San Diego, CA (July 20, 2020) – On Sunday, Goma Pokharel died in a hit-and-run crash on Ashford Street near Lindbergh Neighborhood Park.
The fatal accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the Clairemont area.
San Diego Police currently continues to search for a hit-and-run driver who struck and left the pedestrian dead on the road.
The victim was walking northbound on Ashford Street when she crossed the street near a parked Ford pickup. Just then, a vehicle traveling north on Ashford Street veered to the right and hit the Ford and the woman.
Moreover, the woman driver and her male passenger got out of their vehicle. They went back to see the pedestrian and switched seats before the man drove off.
The authorities pronounced Goma Pokharel, 67, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the suspected vehicle was described as a dark Dodge Ram truck with dual tires. No detailed information about the suspect or her passenger was readily available.
