Suspect Jason McDermott Arrested after Hit-And-Run Fatal Crash at the Monarch Bay Golf Course in San Leandro
San Leandro, CA (April 21, 2022) – On Monday, a golf course employee died in a hit-and-run crash at the Monarch Bay Golf Course.
On Tuesday, police arrested the 43-year-old Jason McDermott of Oakland who is now facing manslaughter and hit-and-run charges.
Reportedly, McDermott was driving a stolen pickup truck when he hit and killed a golf course employee, who was on a riding lawnmower.
However, McDermott and his passenger fled on foot.
The victim ultimately died of his injuries on Wednesday.
