Gloria Henry of Murrieta Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Clinton Keith Road [Murrieta, CA]

Murrieta, CA (March 25, 2022) – On Wednesday, 71-year-old Gloria Henry of Murrieta lost her life, while the officers arrested 57-year-old Rodney Phillips in a hit-and-run crash on Clinton Keith Road.

It was about 8:06 a.m. when the fatal crash took place east of Via Mariposa.

According to the officers, Henry was walking along the sidewalk when Phillips, driving a full-size pickup truck drove onto the sidewalk and struck Henry.

Witnesses said that Phillips fled the scene after the collision.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed Henry to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center where she died an hour after the collision.

Moreover, the authorities searched the area and located Phillips and his vehicle three blocks away.

The authorities booked Phillips into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run resulting in death. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
