Motorcyclist Arrested for Felony DUI After Healdsburg Avenue Crash
Healdsburg, CA (September 28, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, 50-year-old Glenn Merrifield of Windsor was arrested after a suspected DUI crash on Healdsburg Avenue.
According to the Healdsburg Police Department (HPD),the traffic crash happened around 12:19 p.m. at the intersection of Healdsburg Avenue and Parkland Farms Boulevard.
Reports say that The 50-year-old driver was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol when his motorcycle caused a two-vehicle crash.
Officers arrived to find a male motorcyclist with serious injuries, who was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained moderate injuries and received care at the scene.
Investigators determined that alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
They identified the motorcycle driver as Glenn Merrifield from Windsor, who was arrested for felony DUI causing injury and possession of a controlled substance. Due to his injuries, Merrifield was released on a citation with a future court date.
